Nice from a Snapseed Perspective

So I had a little trip to Nice in France, and whilst I was there my multiple exposure editing brain was a little frustrated, so I dipped into Snapseed which I had downloaded on my phone but I hadn’t begun to use quite yet. I found that I was really impressed - it was easy to use, enabled me to not only edit but combine some really interesting images and be creative even whilst I was away without a laptop! Above is a panoramic view of the French city combined with some pebbles from the beach.

Here’s 3 images of the old town, or Vieux Nice . The architecture is lovely and these are just combined with a little texture - this first with a stone step and the second two with the carpet from the hotel - and I think it works much better in my multiple exposures than it did as a carpet! Snapseed has some other effects on it such as ‘grunge’ and ‘retrolux’ which I also used for most of my creations!

These three seascapes are all combined with different textures - the first with a stone step again, the second with some large pebbles and the last with small pebbles. They all make interesting images and just give something very different to what otherwise would have been my holiday snaps! The waves in Nice were pretty fierce and I hope to have captured that in the last image on the row.

The below was the hint of the sunset (they weren’t that great!) and that stone step again just showing that depending on how you edit your image the same texture can look entirely different.

With the images above I have used a variety of background and styles to bring out daily life - and you have to have cocktails in there somewhere! The first image is exposed with that carpet again! Even the most mundane things can really give another edge to different images that you can see. The last is the most abstract and combines a long coastal view with large pebbles from the beach, you do need to spend some time looking at it to work out what you are seeing.

Below are the ever present palm trees that really show Nice for the French Riviera, and was my breakfast view…..
