Would you like to create stunning portraits full of vibrant colours and captivating layers? In this exciting, three-part interactive course, you’ll discover how to transform an ordinary portrait into a work of art.

You will learn the basics of portrait photography, explore creative uses of layers and colours, and master the art of making your portraits truly unique with Multiple Exposure techniques.

To get the most out of this course, you should have a basic knowledge of your camera settings and Photoshop.

Part 1 – Basics of Portrait Photography and Multiple Exposure Portraits.

  • Fundamentals of portrait photography.

  • Using natural light effectively.

  • Learning about composition and camera settings to create better portraits.

  • Post-processing in Photoshop.

  • Step-by-step explanation of few examples of Multiple Exposure portraits.

  • Photoshop processing techniques for multiple exposure artwork.

Homework:

1.    Take 2 new portraits using what you’ve learned and edit them in Photoshop as standalone portraits.

2.    Combine them into multiple exposure images. 

Part 2 – Multiple Exposure Techniques, Homework Images Critique & Coaching.

  • Photoshop processing techniques for multiple exposure artwork.

  • Learning how to create your own textures.

  • See each other’s images for further inspiration.

  • Receive constructive feedback.

Homework:

1.    Take 2 new portraits using what you’ve learned and edit them in Photoshop as standalone portraits.

2.    Make some of your own textures.

3.    Combine them into multiple exposure images. 

Part 3 - Homework Images Critique & Coaching. 

  • See each other’s images for further inspiration.

  • Receive constructive feedback.

Terms and Conditions

  1. This is an interactive, adult class and you must be over 18 to attend.  You must to commit to the whole course and no refunds can be made if you miss a session or decide to leave the class.  Full payment must be received prior to the course start date.

  2. It is the aim that everyone progresses and as clients will be of different past experiences with the technique the tone of discussions must be always kept considerate.  There will be an opportunity for critique on the longer courses but this must be kept to what you interpret rather than whether something is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.

  3. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they have sufficient broadband capability to be able to join for the courses.  There can be no refund if you are unable to attend due to broadband issues although the recording will be available to you for a limited time period.  If there is a power outage from my computer then I will reschedule the session.

  4. I reserve the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances.  In this unlikely occurrence, the client will be offered a) alternative dates b)a voucher for the full amount or c) A full refund.  If the client cancels the course a full refund will only be available, minus administration costs if cancellation is 14 days (or longer) prior to the course.  If the cancellation is after this time you will be entitled to a voucher to the same value or the chance to join the another course of the same value on different dates.
