In Camera Multiple Exposure Photography Workshop - Birmingham

from £60.00

This workshop would suit anyone who wants to learn what they can create with the camera multiple exposure function of their camera. Birmingham has some amazing architecture that is really fun to photograph in this creative way, including the famous Selfridges building, New street Station, the Symphony Building and the library. If you have ever wanted to explore creative architecture photography , or learn how to compose creative images without software - this is for you!

Due to the amount of models out there I cannot take responsibility for if your camera will do multiple exposure images, you will need to find this out for yourself. Most camera brands (with the notable exception of recent Sony models) do some form of in camera multiple exposure. I suggest that if you don’t know if your camera does or not that you simply google the brand and multiple exposure settings. It doesn’t matter, however, how many images it takes or how many blend modes there are, you can learn all the creative techniques on this workshop!

Due to the nature of the city and wanting to deliver quality instruction I will be limiting this workshop to 5 participants.

There are two parts for the day and you are free to join me for the morning, or for the whole day!

Dates Available:

Saturday 5th October 2024

Morning - meeting at 10am, we will discover the area around the Bullring shopping centre including the wonderful Selfridges building, Moor street station and St Martins church. This will focus on two different images taken from different angles and two different subjects layered together - I’ll be showing you what I have done in the past and then it is time for you to get creative before we meet up again to share experiences and images. Our sharing of experiences will be in a coffee shop and then we will have lunch (drinks and food are not included)

Afternoon - In the afternoon we will discover the delights of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the Hall of Memory, Symphony Hall and in and out of the library. This will be a session where we will focus on taking images with a 180 degree turn of the camera in between images, and a challenge. We will spend some time being creative and afterwards share experiences and images again.

We will also have a follow up date tbc online where we can share our processed images and we can all give feedback on the images.
